iProbate provides will-writing, estate-planning and estate-administration services. We are not a firm of solicitors and are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We do not carry out reserved legal activities as defined by section 12 of the Legal Services Act 2007 - in particular the conduct of litigation, rights of audience, and the preparation of probate papers where that is reserved. Where a matter requires a regulated practitioner, we will tell you and refer you on.

Everything published on this website, including the guides, tools and insight articles, is general information. It is not advice, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and it must not be relied on as a substitute for advice on your own facts. Succession law, tax law and the law relating to digital assets differ between jurisdictions and change over time. Content is stated as at the review date shown on each page.
The tools
The cross-border risk check produces an indicative score from a fixed set of questions. It cannot see your documents, your family circumstances or your jurisdictions, and a low score is not confirmation that your arrangements are sound. The digital asset inventory builder runs entirely in your browser; we neither receive nor store what you enter, and we cannot recover it for you if it is lost.

Who you are dealing with
iProbate is a trading name of a self-employed sole practitioner based in England. It is not a limited company, so there is no company number or registered office. The practitioner is an Affiliate Member of STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, membership number 302475, approved 3 September 2026. Affiliate is STEP's entry grade of membership; it is not a qualification to practise and it is not a substitute for regulation.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, email hello@iprobate.io with "Complaint" in the subject line. We acknowledge within three working days and respond substantively within twenty-eight days. As we are not regulated by the Legal Services Board or the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Legal Ombudsman does not have jurisdiction over our work; that is a genuine limitation on your remedies and you should weigh it before instructing us.
